Recently my mates were promoted but I was unjustly denied for no reason that I know. As a Christian how do I deal with the situation?

As Christians, we have the assurance that “all thing are working together for our good.” (Romans 8: 28)  Therefore we must “with faith” endure whatever circumstances the Lord permits us to experience. We have His word that He knows and will provide the things needful.

The way we respond to injustices could help us to learn to love our enemies (those who give us problems). “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you…if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that,” Luke 6:27-28, 33 (NIV).

The Lord puts us in conditions where we can best serve Him. Sometimes a promotion could be detrimental to our spiritual development. “For what shall it profit and man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8: 36)

So let us not dwell on the things of this world as we travel to our heavenly home. “Keep our affections on thing above, not on things on the earth,” Colossians 3:2. Let us, also, remember Israel’s sins. While the nation was being led to “their land of promise,” they murmured at every turn. Finally, let us count each day as a day the Lord has given us, and let us find in each experience a reason to give thanks and rejoice.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV), “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

The Apostle Paul said don't not let anyone judge us on some things we do including eating, etc. God also has given us everything for food even every herb. I preach the word of God to people according to the Scriptures. I smoke weed in my closet. Colossians says I’m at liberty to eat any herb as long as I exhibit the fruits of the spirit and try as much to live according to the Holy Book. What’s your take on Christians who smoke?
