In John 11:25-26, “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.’” What did Jesus mean believing and living and never dying-ever? (Zambia)

All of mankind are under the curse of death as it says in 1 Corinthians 15:22,  “in Adam all die.”  Jesus’s sacrifice made it possible for all mankind to have the opportunity for everlasting life – “so in Christ all will be made alive,” 1 Corinthians 15:22.

Jesus promised, “He who believes in me will live even though he dies.”  This is the promise of the resurrection – that all in their graves will be raised, some to a resurrection of life and some to a resurrection of judgment (John 5:28).

In your question about John 11:25, Jesus is first talking about those who have attained the resurrection of life.  In other words, their Christian faithfulness until death in this life will be rewarded with a resurrection of everlasting life in heaven.  James 1:12, “Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”

Jesus continues to explain, “And whoever lives (is resurrected on earth) and believes (during the kingdom) in me will never die.”  (John 11:26) This verse is about the remainder of mankind. They will be raised to a resurrection of judgment.  This is an earthly resurrection during Jesus Christ’s 1,000-year kingdom when mankind will have the opportunity to learn of God and Jesus. They will be awakened from death and brought to a knowledge of the truth.

Isaiah 54:13, “And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” During this time, Joel 2:28 will be fulfilled,  “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…” Joel 2:28

Isaiah 11:9, “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

Those who choose to believe in Jesus and who walk in obedience to his commandments may then receive human life everlasting in the kingdom.

Please give a clear understanding of Matthew 11:18-19 (NLT), "For John didn't spend his time eating and drinking, and you say, 'He's possessed by a demon.' The Son of Man, on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, 'He's a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners!'
